WoodmenLife Names Former CEO to National Board of Directors

(April 8, 2024) – WoodmenLife elected Patrick L. Dees of Katy, TX, to the company’s National Board of Directors effective April 1, 2024. He will serve on the Fraternal and Compensation Committees. Dees previously held the position of WoodmenLife Chairman, President & Chief Executive Officer until retiring in 2023.

After becoming involved in WoodmenLife chapter activities from a young age, Dees began his WoodmenLife career as a Sales Representative in 1988 in Angleton, TX. He was appointed a Regional Director in 1996 and joined WoodmenLife’s Home Office team in 2009. Prior to becoming Chairman, President & CEO in 2017, Dees led the Sales, Marketing and Fraternal Divisions, where he oversaw WoodmenLife’s nationwide community service strategy.

Dees actively volunteers in his chapter communities, participating in food drives, beautification projects and fundraising for The Children’s Heart and Graeme McDaniel Foundations. Prior to retiring, he was a member of the Board of Directors of the WoodmenLife Outreach Foundation, the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce and the American Fraternal Alliance. Additionally, he held the position of Trustee at the Business Ethics Alliance and served as a Governor of Aksarben.

In his leisure time, Dees enjoys spending time with his family, reading, volunteering, and golfing. He and his wife, Michele, have five children and 13 grandchildren.
