Woodmen of the World Appoints Two Vice Presidents

Omaha, Neb. – Woodmen of the World Life Insurance Society announces the appointments of
Steve Jones and Jerry Smolinski.

Steve Jones has been appointed Vice
President, Fraternal, effective April
1, 2012. According to President and CEO Danny Cummins,
Jones will bring strong leadership skills to the Fraternal Division, and his
business and technology expertise further reinforces the organizations
commitment to fully align its fraternal initiatives.

Jones began his career with Woodmen
of the World in 1974 in the Membership Services Division. For the next two
decades, Jones held positions of increasing responsibility in the Accounting
Division. In 2002, he was named Vice President and manager of the Accounting
Services Division. Since 2006, Jones served as Vice President, Strategic
Initiatives.

Jones first joined Woodmen of the
World as a member during his childhood. He is currently a member of Woodmen of
the World Lodge 16 and has held all lodge offices, including president. He also
has attended several jurisdictional conventions.

Jerry Smolinski has
been appointed Vice President, Business Technology effective Feb. 13, 2012.

Smolinski comes to
Woodmen of the World from DocuLynx, where he held the title of Chief Operations
Officer. He has extensive knowledge in the field of technology due to his
previous work at American Enterprise Mutual/World Insurance, RG Solutions and Creighton University. Smolinski
graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1983, and earned a
Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering.

Smolinski lives in Omaha with his wife
Deborah and their two children Jeffrey and Jaclyn. He has served as the former
School Board President at St. Stephen the Martyr school and as the Finance Chair
for Mid-America Contingent to 2010 Boy Scout National Jamboree.
