WoodmenLife Appoints Mortenson Vice President of Strategic Initiatives

WoodmenLife has appointed Pam Mortenson to oversee large-scale initiatives and help shape the strategies that will best serve members and continue its legacy of financial strength and success.

As Vice President, Strategic Initiatives, Mortenson is in an exciting senior leadership role where she’ll guide the teams that transform how work is done and support operations for the organization, which serves nearly 700,000 people who trust in WoodmenLife and its mission.

Mortenson brings a broad range of experience with her. She led key strategic initiatives at Creighton University and served as interim leader of the Communication and Marketing division there. She also worked at West Corp. for 15 years, as an executive leader in West Healthcare Practice and as President of West Interactive before that. Mortenson also operated her own management consulting business, where she specialized in the electronics payment industry and worked with Fortune 500 companies in strategic and product management planning. Early in her career, Mortenson worked at First Data Corporation in a variety of positions, including sales, client management, process improvement, and product management.

Outside of work, Mortenson is active in the community. She has been involved in Relay for Life fundraising for the American Cancer Society, led the financial planning committee for her church and serves as Marian High School’s Chair of the Board.
