Omaha Chapter Earns WoodmenLife 2026 National Chapter of the Year Honor

In recognition of outstanding service, engagement, and community impact, Chapter 16 in Omaha, NE, has been named WoodmenLife’s 2026 National Chapter of the Year, standing out among chapters nationwide for its commitment to the organization’s core values and mission.

The Chapter of the Year Award celebrates those who go above and beyond to create meaningful change, build strong community relationships, and support WoodmenLife’s mission in action.

Throughout 2025, Chapter 16 demonstrated exceptional dedication by hosting a wide range of service projects, events, and meetings that strengthened member connections and community partnerships. From large-scale community outreach efforts and patriotic initiatives to family-focused events and significant charitable investments, their work touched countless lives while showcasing the power of active, engaged membership.

The chapter’s winning efforts included:

  • Leading community service initiatives: Organized a Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service with approximately 70 volunteers, packing 600 hygiene kits and 600 meals for local nonprofit partners.
  • Making meaningful investments in local organizations: Contributed more than $67,000 in outreach, including major support for foster families, education programs, and poverty initiatives.
  • Delivering high-impact family and community engagement events: Hosted member appreciation events, partnered with neighboring chapters, and created opportunities for families and community members to connect while supporting important causes.

As the 2026 national recipient, Chapter 16 will receive a $10,000 award to continue supporting its impactful community programs, further extending its reach and influence.
