Directors Re-Elected at Woodmen of the World 47th National Convention

Omaha, Neb. – The Board of Directors of Woodmen of the World/Omaha Woodmen Life Insurance Society were re-elected at the Woodmen 47th National Convention, held July 22-24, 2013, at the Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista Hotel in Orlando, Fla.

The convention was attended by more than 700 delegates and guests. Woodmen of the World holds its National Convention every four years to report on the fraternal organization’s financial accomplishments and volunteer activities, vote on governance resolutions and conduct other business. The delegates, who were elected earlier this spring at 23 jurisdictional (state) meetings, represent more than 700,000 member-customers nationwide.

Re-elected at the convention were President, CEO and Chairman of the Board Larry R. King; Executive Vice President, Fraternal Patrick L. Dees; Executive Vice President, Operations and Secretary Pamela J. Hernandez; Executive Vice President, Finance and Treasurer Robert T. Maher.

Other directors re-elected at the convention were Daniel W. Rice III of Kinston, N.C.; Dr. James Bosler III of Louisville, Ky.; Dr. James Shaver of Landis, N.C.; James W. Bridges Jr. of Las Vegas, Nev.; Michael C. Shealy of Lexington, S.C.; Wesley A. Dodd Jr. of Cornelia, Ga.; Daryl J. Doise of Sunset, La.; Danny E. Cummins of Troup, Texas; Patricia L. Metheny of Durant, Okla.; Ronald H. Aldridge of Jackson, Miss.; and Mark L. Schreier of Omaha, Neb.

The directors were re-elected to serve four year-terms, which will expire at the next National Convention in 2017.
