WoodmenLife Tower lit in purple

WoodmenLife Tower to Light for Domestic Violence Awareness

Omaha, Nebr. – Tonight the WoodmenLife Tower will light purple for National Wear Purple Day.

It’s an opportunity to stand in solidarity with domestic violence survivors during Domestic Violence Awareness Month. It is especially important this year. With the global increase in domestic violence cases during the COVID-19 pandemic, awareness and action are urgently needed.

This lighting was requested by the Women’s Center for Advancement. Learn more about its mission to help victims of domestic violence and their children to achieve safety and lead empowered lives at wcaomaha.org.

WoodmenLife will share this on social media with the hashtags #ChangeHappensHere, #DomesticViolenceAwarenessMonth, #dvam2020, #dvam, and #LightWoodmenLifeTower.

To see a schedule of upcoming tower lightings or to request one, visit the WoodmenLife Tower Lighting Partnership website.
