WoodmenLife Tower Lights for Giving Tuesday

Omaha, Nebr. — The WoodmenLife Tower will be purple this evening to support Giving Tuesday in Omaha and Council Bluffs.

Giving Tuesday was established in 2012, and according to GivingTuesday.org, its mission is to encourage people to do good in all kinds of ways. Globally, hundreds of millions of people give, collaborate and celebrate generosity. On a local level, Giving Tuesday 402 and Giving Tuesday 712 are encouraging local giving — that includes financial support and volunteer hours — so the community can heal, rebuild support and celebrate generosity as a very difficult year closes. Nebraskans and Iowans are also encouraged to share the good on social media.

WoodmenLife will share this on Facebook, Linked In and Twitter with the hashtags #GivingTuesday402, #GivingTuesday712 and #LightWoodmenLifeTower.

To see a schedule of upcoming tower lightings or to request one, visit the WoodmenLife Tower Lighting Partnership website. You may download an image of the tower lit in purple using the link at right.
