WoodmenLife Earns Industry Honors Recognizing Its Commitment to Continuing Professional Education

WoodmenLife today announced the company has earned the 2025 Professional Industry Education (PIE) Award from LOMA, in recognition of the company’s commitment to professional development in pursuit of business excellence.

WoodmenLife is one of 15 North American companies to receive the award from LOMA, an international professional organization that offers training and development programs used by 700+ life insurance companies in more than 70 countries worldwide.

WoodmenLife earned the PIE Award for enrolling 50 or more associates and increasing the number of associates enrolled in LOMA certification courses, increasing first-time enrollments, and achieving an overall passing rate greater than 85 percent.

In 2025, WoodmenLife associates participated in a total of 124 LOMA education courses, with four earning Fellow, Life Management Institute (FLMI) certifications, the organization’s highest designation.

To become FMLI certified, a candidate must complete a rigorous 10-course professional development program and pass an exam covering insurance principles, operations, administration, business & financial concepts, marketing, law, management, investments, accounting, risk management, and product development.

“WoodmenLife associates are dedicated to learning all facets of our business to ensure they are providing our members and one another with the highest quality service and support,” said WoodmenLife President & CEO Denise M. McCauley. “It is certainly an honor to receive the Professional Industry Education Award from LOMA, but the real reward comes each day as our team continuously improves our performance.”

WoodmenLife pays its associates’ enrollment fees, and those who complete their coursework are paid a bonus for contributing their enhanced knowledge and expertise to the organization.

WoodmenLife currently employs 38 associates holding FLMI certificates and 57 who hold Associate, Life Management Institute (ALMI) certificates, which is a designation earned for completing five FLMI courses.

Additionally, 80 WoodmenLife associates have obtained their Associate, Customer Service (ACS) in Life Insurance certificates, and 12 have earned Associate, Insurance Regulatory Compliance (AIRC) certification.

A total of 194 WoodmenLife associates have earned the FLMI Level 1 Certificate by completing the first two FLMI courses.

Since 1970, past and current WoodmenLife associates have earned a total 982 certifications or designations from LOMA.
