Omaha Parks Foundation Receives 60 Flags

Omaha, Neb. – Woodmen of the World Life Insurance Society donated 60 flags to the Omaha Parks Foundation at a ceremony today on the North plaza of the Omaha City/County Building.

Through 2013 Woodmen of the World has donated more than 2.5 million American flags across the United States for presentation to worthy non-profit and community organizations.

Woodmen of the World, along with the United States government, is one of the leading purchasers of American flags each year. Member customers celebrate patriotism in many ways including presentations of American Patriot’s Handbooks to new citizens, libraries and schools and American History Awards to junior and senior high school students who excel in the study of American history.
