Habitat for Humanity Receives $10,000 Donation

OMAHA, Neb. (JUNE 27, 2016) – WoodmenLife President & CEO Larry King, Vice President and General Counsel Matt Ellis and Security Administration Manager Allen Curtis presented a $10,000 check to Habitat for Humanity Development Director Sarah Lopez.

The donation continues the long-standing partnership WoodmenLife and Habitat for Humanity have forged. Along with annual contributions, WoodmenLife organizes several volunteer build teams throughout the year. WoodmenLife allows their associates a day of paid volunteer time each year.

“WoodmenLife believes that providing a strong, stable home is so important for families. We see this donation as an extension of who we are as an organization,” King said. “We believe every time we help a family, we are helping our community grow stronger.”

Ever since WoodmenLife was founded in Omaha 126 years ago, the organization has been committed to giving back to the community, especially to non-profits that embody its values of relationships, stewardship, community, and accountability.
