Dees Elected Vice Chair, American Fraternal Alliance Board of Directors

Omaha, Neb. –Woodmen of the World Executive Vice President, Fraternal Pat Dees was installed as Vice Chair of the American Fraternal Alliance Board of Directors at the organization’s 2014 Annual Meeting Sept. 6 in Austin, Texas.

“The Alliance and its member societies congratulate Pat on his election to serve as Vice Chair of the Board,” said Alliance President and CEO Joseph J. Annotti. “The Alliance and its Board of Directors are dedicated to providing our members with the tools they need to thrive as a modern and financially sound fraternal benefit society.”

As Vice Chair of the Alliance Board, Dees will continue to provide strategic direction to the association that represents 69 fraternal benefit societies, including Woodmen of the World. Fraternal benefit societies are not-for-profit membership organizations offering volunteer, social and networking opportunities, along with insurance and other financial products.

Pat Dees was appointed to his current position with Woodmen of the World Oct. 1, 2012. He began his Woodmen of the World career in Angleton, Texas, in August 1986. He joined the Home Office in Omaha, Neb. In January 2009 as the Vice President, Field. He was promoted to Senior Vice President, Field later that year, and to Senior Vice President, National Field Manager in November 2010.

“I am honored to be chosen for this opportunity,” Dees said. “I look forward to helping other organizations that, similar to Woodmen of the World, help families prepare for the future and also help them better the communities where they work and live.”

Dees also serves on the Board of Directors of Woodmen Insurance Agency, Woodmen Foundation and Woodmen Financial Services. Dees has served as an elected Director of the California, Florida and Georgia FIC Chapters, has earned his FICF designation, and is a member of the General Agents and Managers Association (GAMA).
