It’s Banding Day!
The 28th floor of the Woodmen Tower was a-squawking this morning – it’s banding day!
Banding day is always one of the best days of the year here at Woodmen of the World. To see these chicks hatch and grow so quickly is an emotional experience for a lot of us.
But enough about us, what about these falcons?!
We’re proud to announce that we have two healthy boys and two healthy girls this year! And they are a feisty bunch. Zeus and Hera were not happy to have their babies gone from the nest – they dove around the window as the representatives from Raptor Recovery Nebraska and the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission gently removed them and put them back after banding.
