WoodmenLife Tower to Light for Hispanic Heritage Month
Omaha, Nebr. – Tonight the WoodmenLife Tower will be lit with the flag colors of nearly two dozen countries to observe the start of Hispanic Heritage Month.
This annual event generally runs from Sept. 15 to Oct. 15 and recognizes the contributions of Hispanic and Latino Americans. According to HispanicHeritageMonth.gov, today is important because it is the anniversary of independence for Latin American countries Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua. Mexico celebrates its Independence Day on Sept. 16 and Chile its own on Sept. 18.
WoodmenLife will share this on social media with the hashtags #Hispanic, #HispanicHeritageMonth and #LightWoodmenLifeTower.
