WoodmenLife Tower to Light for Heartland United for Puerto Rico Day
Omaha, Nebr. – Tonight the WoodmenLife Tower will be red, white and blue in support of Heartland United for Puerto Rico Day.
This volunteer-based nonprofit organization has received two Congressional awards for its work in evacuating families from the devastation of hurricanes and earthquakes. Both the mayor of Omaha and the governor of Nebraska are proclaiming Oct. 20, 2020, Heartland United for Puerto Rico Day in recognition of the hard work of volunteers as well as the hundreds of displaced individuals that moved to Nebraska with nothing, to rebuild their lives. A virtual ceremony was hosted online.
WoodmenLife will share this on social media with the hashtags #HU4PRday and #LightWoodmenLifeTower.
To see a schedule of upcoming tower lightings or to request one, visit the WoodmenLife Tower Lighting Partnership website.
