Woodmen of the World Lodge 16 Presents American History Awards

Omaha, Neb. – Members of Woodmen of the World Life Insurance Society Lodge #16 will present a special award in American history to the following students:

 

  • Hannah Paredes, Omaha South High School 
  • Robia Qasimyer, Omaha Burke High School 
  • Tessa Gibson, Omaha Benson High School 
  • David O’Neil, Papillion-LaVista High School 
  • William Medley, Papillion-LaVista South High School 
  • Bailey Calabro, Ralston Middle School
  • Allison Tomek, Westside High School

 

“Students were chosen for their proficiency in American history,” said Bruce Moritz, President of Lodge #16. “They clearly demonstrate knowledge of American history, as well as an appreciation of the high price our country has paid for the freedom we enjoy today,” said Moritz.

The American History Award is part of the patriotic program that Woodmen of the
World offers the local community. In addition to the award, Woodmen of the World presents American Patriot’s Handbooks to children, and regularly presents American flags and flag poles to civic organizations, schools, parks and other non-profit groups.
