Woodmen of the World Donates 124,454 Flags in 2011
Omaha, Neb. – Woodmen of the World Life Insurance Society
donated 124,454 flags across the United States in 2011 to local
lodges for presentation to nonprofit civic and youth groups, schools, churches,
community centers and other worthy groups.
Woodmen of the World, along with the
United States government, is one
of the leading purchasers of flags each year. Member customers celebrate
patriotism in many ways including presentations of American Patriot’s Handbooks to new citizens, libraries and schools and American
History Awards to junior and senior high school students who excel in the study
of American history.
