WoodmenLife Chapters Collaborate to Win the Outstanding Project of the Year Award

The collaborative efforts of WoodmenLife North Carolina Chapters 70 and 4, in partnership with Anson County Schools, led to the hosting of a Wadesboro High School football game dedicated to honoring local military members who made the ultimate sacrifice. This exceptional initiative has earned these chapters the WoodmenLife Outstanding Project of the Year Award.

Preceding the game, family members of the fallen heroes were invited to a dinner to commemorate their loved ones’ sacrifices. Additionally, the WoodmenLife chapters organized a tailgate party for service personnel, First Responders, and their families, alongside a Celebrating Red, White & Blue® ceremony. During halftime, four local Gold Star families were honored on the field.

“These chapters have shown that by working together you can accomplish great things in your community. My congratulations go out to all involved with this project that honored Gold Star families,” said Robby Molony, Vice President, Fraternal at WoodmenLife.

The Outstanding Project of the Year Award acknowledges a chapter service project that has significantly impacted the community in the past year. Eligible chapter service projects align with WoodmenLife’s mission and exemplify its Shared Commitment values: Family, Community, Country, and Fighting Hunger.
