Many local and nationwide events marked the occasion

(Omaha, Neb.) – To mark its 125th anniversary on June 6, 2015, WoodmenLife sponsored a  variety of local and national events in recognition of the celebration, including a temporary exhibit at the Durham Museum entitled: 125 Years of Helping Omaha: WoodmenLife. WoodmenLife Chapters around the country continue to support the organization’s National Community Focus: Fighting Hunger in their local communities by using the June 6 Anniversary as a Day of Service to collect food donations for local food banks, work in their own food panties, and sponsor community-wide meals.

Locally, WoodmenLife chapters hosted a Day of Service on Saturday, June 6. Chapter members worked together on service projects to better their communities including a park clean-ups, stuffing backpacks at the Food Bank for the Heartland, and planting a community garden.
