WoodmenLife Awards $371,500 in Scholarships to 626 Students Nationwide

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE –

 Omaha, Neb. (April 29, 2025) – WoodmenLife has awarded $371,500 in scholarships to 626 recent high school graduates through its annual WoodmenLife Focus Forward Scholarship® program. Recipients were selected based on academic achievement, community service, and essays on patriotism.

Three exceptional students received the top prize of $10,000 each:

  • Isabella Baker from Gilmer High School (Talking Rock, GA) attends Augusta University, where she is majoring in Molecular Biology.
  • Susanna Sargeant from University Heights Academy (Hopkinsville, KY) will study Public Health and Agricultural & Medical Biotechnology at the University of Kentucky.
  • Madelyn Faircloth, enrolled in the University of South Carolina Honors College’s accelerated M.D. program, will continue her medical education.

Additionally, the program awarded 15 $2,500 scholarships and 608 $500 scholarships to assist deserving students nationwide in reaching their goals in higher education.

Since starting the scholarship program in 2017, WoodmenLife has awarded more than $3 million in scholarships to 5,828 students who are furthering their education at trade schools, colleges, and universities across the country.
