WoodmenLife Appoints New Regional Director for Southern Alabama

PRATTVILLE, AL (01/03/2019) – Michael Hutto has been promoted to Alabama South Regional Director, effective Jan. 1, 2019.

A native of Marianna, FL, Hutto joined WoodmenLife in August 2013 and quickly excelled. He earned Super Star status in 2015 and was promoted to Recruiting Sales Manager for the Florida region in June 2016.

In this new role, Hutto will motivate a Sales team of more than a dozen people, priming Representatives for success and mentoring Recruiting Sales Managers to build effective, high-achieving teams. He will also uphold WoodmenLife’s mission of helping communities by supporting outreach events across the region and leading the local corporation.

Hutto holds a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice and a minor in psychology from Florida State University, where he was a scholarship athlete. He joined the Leon County, FL, Sheriff’s Office as a Mounted Posse volunteer member in 2008 and currently serves as a Reserve Deputy in Jackson County, FL.

That experience shaped some of his community outreach activities, which are central to WoodmenLife’s commitment to improving our members’ communities. Hutto has been moved by events honoring first responders and veterans. He’s also been involved in activities that support children, including those with special needs. He’s eager for the chance to make a similar impact with WoodmenLife’s more than 18,000 members across southern Alabama.

Hutto credits some of his WoodmenLife success to the network of WoodmenLife associates around him, including the mentoring he received from Bryan Carroll, WoodmenLife’s South Carolina Regional Director.

He’s also driven by the healthy sense of competition that hasn’t faded away since his football days. As a Sales Representative, he often texted with Garret Emerson, South Mississippi Regional Director, saying first thing in the morning: “What have you done for WoodmenLife today?”

Mike and his wife, Kelley, have three children: Mitchel, Nickolas and Jillian. They are proud grandparents of Emma, daughter of Mitchel and Brittany. They are relocating to southern Alabama soon.
