Woodmen Tower Will LIGHT IT UP BLUE in Support of Autism Awareness
Omaha, Nebr. – The Woodmen Tower will be lit blue beginning at sunset on April 2, in participation in the Autism Speaks “Light It Up Blue” campaign to shine a light on the public health crisis of autism. The campaign will bring attention to Autism Spectrum Disorder, a developmental disability that affects millions around the world.
April is Autism Awareness Month and April 2 is World Autism Day. The Woodmen Tower joins other iconic landmarks, hotels, sporting venues, concert halls, museums, bridges and retail stores taking part to light it up blue. Some places around the world that participate in “Light It Up Blue” are the Empire State Building, Niagara Falls, the Sydney Opera House and The Great Pyramids in Egypt. Woodmen of the World will also show its support through social media using these hashtags: #LightItUpBlue, #AutismAwareness, #WoodmenCares and #LightWoodmenTower.
