Woodmen of the World’s Gina McDaniel Receives Annual Light of Wellness Award

Omaha, Neb. – Gina McDaniel, an Issue Specialist on the Life and Annuity Issue Team at Woodmen of the World, was honored at the William M. Kizer Light of Wellness Awards Dinner on Thursday, Nov. 8.

The Light of Wellness Event provides companies the opportunity to recognize individual employees who have made healthy behavior changes as a result of their employee wellness program, or have demonstrated positive leadership in the area of health and wellness at their work site. McDaniel was nominated in the Health Transformation category, which recognizes employees who now lead a healthier life. She participates in company sponsored weight loss programs, daily group exercise classes and group personal training. Not only has she set and achieved health and wellness goals for herself, she advocates for wellness and encourages others to be active with her.

“Gina has been successful in losing and maintaining a significant amount of weight loss and body fat loss. That in itself is an inspiration, but the biggest inspiration is her attitude and outlook. Her positive attitude is contagious to those around her and we are happy to honor her with this award,” said Peggy Dunston, Manager of Associate Well-Being at Woodmen of the World.
