Woodmen of the World Appoints Lee Janecek Vice President, Certificate Administration & Chief Underwriter
Omaha, Neb. – Lee Janecek has been appointed to Vice President, Certificate Administration & Chief Underwriter, effective April 1, 2013.
Janecek began his career with Woodmen of the World as an Underwriter in 1986. He was promoted to Senior Underwriter in 1991, and promoted to Underwriting Technical Services Manager in 1993. Lee was appointed Assistant Chief Underwriter in 2002, appointed Claims Director in 2007 and appointed Chief Underwriter in 2007.

Janecek is a member of the Keep Omaha Beautiful board and Chairperson of the Academy of Life Underwriting Board of Directors. He is currently the Executive Vice President of the Association of Home Office Underwriters and will become its thirteenth president in April of this year. He served four years on the Nebraska Home Office Life Underwriters Association, and chaired the Midwest Home Office Underwriters Conference. He also served as the Chairperson of the Academy of Life Underwriting and is currently on the Advisory Council for the Medical Information Bureau. Janecek became a Woodmen of the World member in 1986 and joined Lodge 16 in Omaha, NE, in which he served as Degree Team Member from 1989 to 2003. He and his wife, Cindy, have three children.
