Woodmen of the World Adopts New Service Mark
(Omaha, NE) – Effective June 1, 2015, Woodmen of the World Life Insurance Society adopted the service mark WoodmenLifeSM in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.
The process began with the release of a 2011 nationwide survey by the American Fraternal Alliance and Frederick Polls, which showed that many people are unfamiliar with fraternal organizations and what they accomplish. Additional research found that a large portion of the United States was unfamiliar with Woodmen of the World.
For more than five generations, Woodmen of the World has provided its members with the resources to weather a crisis. Throughout those years, the organization has changed with the times to meet member needs, from offering free tuberculosis treatments to our members in the 1930s to launching a non-profit crowdfunding website in the 2000s to help raise money for people and projects in need.
“In this, our 125th Anniversary year, we are planning for our next 125 years,” Larry King, President and CEO, ”And we are prepared to carry forward our unwavering strength and fraternalism while also embracing this new brand identity.”
The new WoodmenLife brand identity better illustrates the impact the organization has on the lives of its member customers by providing opportunities for them to impact the lives of others through community service activities patriotism, disaster relief assistance and youth programs. Families have embraced these traditions for decades, as evidenced by the multi-generational WoodmenLife families actively making a difference in their communities. The new tagline, Standing Strong For GenerationsSM perfectly illustrates the lasting nature of the organization.
While the WoodmenLife service mark will serve as the face of the business, the core mission and values of the organization will not change.
