New Leadership Brings New Vision to WoodmenLife
Effective October 1, WoodmenLife transitioned leadership to Denise M. McCauley as the organization’s 14th President & CEO (Chief Executive Officer) and Chair of the National Board of Directors. She is the first woman to hold this position in the 133-year history of the organization and succeeds Patrick L. Dees, who retired in September.
McCauley has made significant contributions to WoodmenLife since joining the organization in 2008 as Vice President, Core Operations. Her exceptional performance and leadership abilities led to her promotion in 2011 to Senior Vice President, Operations, and later, to the position Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer in 2015. Prior to joining WoodmenLife, McCauley held various senior positions in the financial services industry.
In assuming this leadership role, McCauley plans to bring WoodmenLife and our commitment to community to a broader segment of members and focus on improving the member experience.
“I am humbled and grateful for the privilege to lead the exceptional team at WoodmenLife,” said McCauley. “As we embark on this new chapter, I am committed to building on our legacy of providing value to our members and driving growth. I look forward to collaborating with both our associates and members in the pursuit of our shared vision for success.”
McCauley serves on the Board of the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce and is an active volunteer with Meals on Wheels and Open Door Mission. She grew up in Omaha, NE and graduated from the University of Nebraska – Omaha with a B.S. degree in Business Administration.
In her free time, McCauley enjoys hiking, golfing, and spending time with her family. She is married to Robert McCauley.
