Omaha, Neb.– Woodmen of the World Life Insurance Society announced that the banding of its five newest Tower-top residents will take place Monday, June 6 on the 28th floor of the WoodmenTower. This is the 23rd year in which peregrine falcons have chosen to nest atop the Tower and the sixth year in which falcon pair Zeus and Hera have produced offspring. Raptor Recovery Nebraskaand the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission will begin the banding at 9:00 a.m., and at this time will also take blood and determine genders.

Fans will post their group of five names on the Woodmen of the World Facebook wall through noon on Friday, June 10. Based on comments, likes and a general review from an internal WOW committee, the top five groups will be re-posted in the form of a Facebook “Question” on the WOW wall, where fans can then vote for their favorite. The top five selections will be posted and voting will begin on Monday, June 13 and last through noon, on Friday, June 17. The winner will be announced on Monday, June 20 via Facebook, followed by Twitter and the FalconWatch blog.
