Kern Appointed Woodmen of the World Director
(OMAHA, NE) – Woodmen of the World/Omaha Woodmen Life Insurance Society has announced that Jeff Kern has been named Director & Chief Internal Auditor.
Kern began his career with Woodmen of the World in 1997 as an Internal Auditor. In 2001, he was promoted to Senior Internal Auditor; transferred to Tax Compliance Supervisor in 2006; and was promoted to Director, Tax Compliance and Payroll in 2008. Kern also serves as an Assistant Treasurer of WFS, WIA, and the Woodmen Foundation, and is the Treasurer of Omaha Woodmen Blocker, Inc.
Kern has his Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Financial and Operations Principal (FINOP), and Fellow, Life Management Institute (FLMI) designations. He is a past Woodmen Federal Credit Union Board Chairman, and has served as Treasurer and as a Director. He also served on the Credit Union’s Supervisory Committee and is a past board member of the Tax Executive Institute-Nebraska Chapter.
Kern became a Woodmen of the World member in 1997 and joined Lodge 16 in Omaha, NE, in which he has served as Musician, Escort, Treasurer, Vice President, and President.
