Blake Takes WoodmenLife Career to the Next Level

WoodmenLife has been a part of Robert Blake’s life since he was 16 years old with a whistle at the edge of a chapter hall pool.

He took the leap from life guard to Sales Representative at 18, and he hasn’t looked back. He’s built a successful career where he feels privileged to be serving others.

Blake said he is guided by a Zig Ziglar quote: “You will get all you want in life if you help enough other people get what they want.”

So that is what he does every day.

Blake, who generally goes by Ryan, was appointed Regional Director of Virginia in October. In his new role, he’ll lead a sales force of 55 and manage membership growth, education and leadership throughout the state.

“I never imagined what I would gain,” Blake said of his initial role as Sales Representative. “It didn’t take long at all to fall in love with this organization’s purpose.”

As a not-for-profit fraternal benefit society, WoodmenLife provides so much more than life insurance and retirement products. It supports members and gives back while providing opportunities for service and leadership. It is united by a shared commitment to family, community and country.

Blake began his WoodmenLife career as a Sales Representative in January 2005. He won the Sure Start Award in May of that year and the North Carolina East Rookie of the Year in December. He also earned Super Star status and membership in the Million Dollar Round Table. In 2006, he earned his Fraternal Insurance Counselor (FIC) designation.

He was appointed Recruiting Sales Manager in October 2009, earned his FICF in 2010 and has consistently earned Super Star status as a Recruiting Sales Manager.

In his personal life, he is a member of Fayetteville Community Church and enjoys golfing in his free time.

He and his wife, Morgan, have two children: Palmer Coleman and Beckett Collins.

With WoodmenLife, Blake knows he’s found his calling.

“If I can help someone make a great living by going out into their communities and protecting innocent people from devastating circumstances, or helping the ill-prepared with planning a successful retirement,” he said, “there is really no reason not to be excited about every day!”
