3 Babies!
Three of the four falcon eggs hatched this weekend, and Charity and Mintaka have been busy feeding them and keeping them warm.
To get a good view of the baby falcons, watch the falcon cam early in the morning. They have a regular feeding time then and the chicks are active.
A baby falcon is called eyass. They are covered in fuzzy, white down when they are born. In about four weeks, feathers will start to emerge.
Stay tuned for our banding date, when the good folks at Nebraska Games and Parks and Raptor Recovery Center at Fontenelle Forest will determine the sex of each of the birds.
